"Patadyong played a huge part in my childhood. Growing up, I spent countless hours performing Filipino folk dances alongside my Mum, and the checkered skirts were a familiar part of many performances. Originating from Visayas, the traditional attire includes both a triangular tapis worn over the patadyong and a rectangular tapis draped over the shoulder.
For this modern interpretation, I've taken our beige alampay and styled it as a tapis around the waist and the plaid triangle scarf as a cute neckerchief. It pairs beautifully with the ‘Sia’ Filipiniana Top in oat linen.
